shotlist

Here is a table of all the shots we are planning on using and why we are using them.


Shot 1
Establishing shot...showing the location of events. This will show the ally way and allow the audience to see where its set.
Shot 2
medium close up...Of woman running. Medium close up of her top half of body which allows the audience to begin to be part of the running girl.
Shot 3
over the shoulder...Of the girl running. It shows her movement and also at the same time shows where she is going. May allow the audience to think something is following her.
Shot 4
long shot...Of the girl in her full costume running as it flows. The long shot will also show the background which will show her situation and where she's running to.

Shot 5
Close up of feet (stepping into something/puddle?)...The close up of her feet stepping in the puddle shows she's in a rush and shows she doesn't care about if she gets wet.
Shot 6
All close ups of bottom half of body but different angles...setting the pace of her running (Jump cuts) The  shots are of her legs,feet and how her dress moves as she runs.

Shot 7
extreme close-up of eyes (non diegetic music- all silent)...shows her emotion and her choice about going left or right in the alley way.

Shot 8
Arc of girl. Quite fast. Shows confusion...shows the confusion she is facing. Arc is half way up her body. Low angle looking up at her face.
Shot 9
Zoom of direction heading...Allows you to see the choice she faces

Shot 10
Zoom out of girl running. Like establishing shot but see her. (See the building being used?)...Shows where she’s going. The size of the area. Tension-where is she going?
Shot 11
cut of long shot from other side...shows the location (approaching) building.
Shot 12
Long takes...shows time. The pace has slowed down. Creates tension. Still of her running
Shot 13
Long shot of her and building- location...Can create questions. She is running towards this building. 
Shot 14
Zoom in on girl...Gives the audience a glimpse of the character. Zoom on her face.shoulders.
Shot 15
Tilt up to see building. (Closer to building the bigger it looks)...Shows the origin
Shot 16
Aerial/high angle shot. (Use tripod or tree)...Makes audience feel like something is watching her
Shot 17
cut to mid close up...setting up next shot
Shot 18
match on action- mid shot of walking through door...entering the unknown

Shot 19
match on action-mid shot of other side walking through door...entering the unknown
Shot 20
Dramatically finish. BOOM. Black screen.
